Pittsburgh, Pa. – Rising senior Christian Cupp of the Duquesne track & field team has been selected to represent Team USA at the 2026 FISU America Games.

The 2026 FISU America Games, the fourth edition of the continental event, will be held July 20-Aug. 1 in Lima, Peru. The Games bring together university student-athletes from more than 20 countries across North, Central and South America to compete in an international multi-sport competition.

Cupp will compete in the decathlon July 31-Aug. 1.

A native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Cupp rewrote the Duquesne record book during the 2026 outdoor season. He set the program record in the decathlon twice, culminating with a school-record 7,234 points and a gold-medal performance at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He also ranks second in program history in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 7.44 meters (24-5) and is a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® selection.
